a cross, the water
In the South China Sea lies Vietnam to the west and the Philippines to the east. I had to satisfy my curiosity of the two lands whose coastlines mirror each other across the water.

Two countries so close yet worlds apart.
One puts a lot of faith in water and the other in God.

The images I selected convey my impression of their similarities and differences. Sometimes I don’t realize what I see until I look at my photographs closely after being home for awhile. I know now that I have a third eye that looks deeply during the moment and surfaces later.

I went across the water believing one thing
but seeing is really believing.
