I was born in the Philippines and emigrated to the U.S. when I was 7 years old. In 1989, I went back to visit for the first time after 16 years. I‘ve been going back ever since. My connection with the Philippines grows stronger with each visit. Each time trying to visit a different part of the Philippines. It's hard not to feel connected when I meet people with so much warmth and generosity. Plus the mangoes are so sweet!

I love the markets, the food and the life under the sea. I'm always inspired after a visit. I love exploring the amazing coral reefs teeming with colorful fishes. Swimming in the warm waters heals my body and spirit. There‘s something about the Philippines that keeps drawing me back ...must be the food and the warm hospitality.

I realize now that it will take a lifetime to visit all the 7,000+ islands. I guess I’ll just have to keep going back. The following photo stories are the past visits I've taken since 1989. Just click on an image to view a visit. Happy virtual travels. And may you see the Philippines for yourself!
